Cooper's Corollary

Cooper's Corollary:

"Interventions trade off between efficacy and adoption; optimize one, and you lose the other."

In the lab or in academia, the most effective research intervention often works perfectly — but no one actually wants to do it in the real world. They'll only engage if you're paying them.

In the commercial world, the intervention that everyone loves often does absolutely nothing in terms of clinical outcome.
